I went on a real mental journey in your class…first there was the usual terror knowing that I was not on the level of the other students, then on the second day there was sheer frustration and a silent promise to myself that I would never try painting again unless it involved a wall in my home…but toward the end of the second day, and definitely the third day, I experienced such joy watching my iris come to life, and now I can’t wait to get back to my painting! Thank you so much for helping me get through that journey, and know that I have every intentions of being in your class again next year!!!

I had such a wonderful time at your class!! It is such
a nice three days of painting and you are such a inspiration, with a keen eye
to composition and color! I look forward to seeing you next September, have a
wonderful year.

My wife was so impressed with my work at The Elizabethan
Gardens that she's pressing me to find another specimen to paint so we have a
pair! Think I'll check what may be available in a pot around here.
I'll let you know what turns up.
Thanks for sharing your expertise.

This note is long overdue! However, I just wanted to
let you know how much Ralph and I have enjoyed our art classes with you.
As you may recall, I initially
signed up only because Ralph wanted to take some painting lessons and would not
go unless I signed up for it too. I joined your class thinking that I had
absolutely no talent as far as painting was concerned nor did I expect to
become interested. Because your approach to teaching is so unique I found
myself fascinated with painting after the very first class. You actually
convinced me that there may be a possibility that I might be able to learn how
to paint. I am especially impressed with how you were able to meet each
of us at our different levels and assisted us in our growth. The classes
have not only been instructive, but also a lot of fun. I have never met a
person such as yourself that is able to inspire they way you can.
Thanks again, Linda, for opening up
the world of painting to me. Ralph and I look forward to taking more
lessons with you.

A
great teacher pays attention to their students and waits for teachable
moments to introduce their material. Linda not only has a wealth of
material to offer in her class she presents in an orderly manner that
shows pacing and sensitivity to those teachable moments. It is with
great fortune that we have a talented and accomplished botanical artist
and teacher in our Tidewater/ Williamsburg area . Linda offers great
encouragement to her students in an environment that is keeps her
students interested and on task. I learned many new techniques and
left with an understanding of this fascinating study of botanical
watercolor.

I
enjoyed the Botanical Painting Workshop very much. It was an oasis of
quiet, calm contemplation in a very busy world. Linda is an excellent
instructor who has the gift of getting the best work out of her
students. It takes a special teacher to see each person’s unique
strengths and Linda does this very well. This workshop was a very good
fit for me in that I love to paint and I love to study nature, two
interests that Linda also values. I highly recommend this workshop.
